Neighbouring houses were evacuated as army officers were spotted
People were forced to leave their homes after a police warrant led to army bomb squad being called out to a neighbourhood in Liverpool. Merseyside police arrived after being granted a warrant on Netherby Street in Dingle at around 8.20pm on September 19.
Royal Army Ordnance Cops appeared at the scene at around 10.15pm and a small proportion of neighbouring properties in the street were evacuated. When Army officers arrived the cordon was extended to the top of Cockburn Street. Officers seemed to be investigating the package in their vehicle as police watched on. People living on the street said they heard a noise outside their homes before seeing police raiding a home.
