Families of the Boksburg explosion victims are still picking up the pieces and coming to grips with their loss
JOHANNESBURG - Families are picking up the pieces after a gas tanker explosion claimed 15 lives in Boksburg on Saturday.Jan Brits said the driver responsible for the explosion belongs in jail."When it happened we were surprised. We asked what the tanker was doing here," he said.
William Ntladi from the Ekurhuleni EMS said security has been beefed up at the scene of the explosion."We are making sure people are not moving in and around because of the rigidity and instability of the structures," Ntladi said. "Together with the SAPS, EMPD and Prasa security we will make sure we keep this [scene] secured throughout the day up until everything is cleared up."The suspect faces multiple counts of culpable homicide and is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
