Residents of Cape Town's deep south have been advised to boil their tap water before drinking it, after tests found that it was below national quality standards.
In a statement on Wednesday, the City said residents of Noordhoek, Redhill, Simon's Town, Sun Valley, Kommetjie, Ocean View, Scarborough, Masiphumelele and Glencairn should boil tap water before drinking it or using it to wash fruit and vegetables intended for raw consumption.This after routine sampling results showed the water quality did not comply with national water quality standards , according to the City.
