The body of a Trinity man missing since late January was discovered over the weekend in Bankhead National Forest.
Garrie was reportedly last heard from on Jan. 25, and his truck was discovered on Feb. 2 at Indian Tomb Hollow near a gate. He was reportedly arrowhead hunting.A three-day search after Garrie’s truck was found yielded nothing.
Garrie’s body was transported to the Department of Forensic Services for an autopsy. Authorities say they do not believe his death was the result of foul play.“If you knew Chad, you knew he loved the mountains,” she wrote. “He was found in the place he loved at the highest ridge. The place he would go to hear God when his mind was cluttered with this world. Never doubt that God was with him. You can say this is a mother hoping, but I can tell you no, this is a mother speaking truth and fact.
