This follows the discovery of her husband and daughter who were found in the Amaoti River, north of Durban, on Monday. Police divers from Durban Search and Rescue , along with Metro police and the Durban K9 squad, returned to Amaoti on Thursday to continue their search for the victim. Rescue efforts were directed to the spot after a police dog led them to the area covered by debris. Members excavated the spot and located the body, which was handed over to members of the Inanda police.Co-operative governance and traditional affairs MEC Nomusa Dube-Ncube visited flood-ravaged KwaMashu and Amaoti on Tuesday following flash floods that swept across parts of the province on Sunday.
