RCMP say the person may have been hit by a vehicle.
At about 7 a.m., a passerby, who was out for an early-morning walk, found the body on the north side of Harewood Mines Road, just south of the overpass, according to RCMP. Mounties are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, and may have dash cam video of the person, to call Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file # 2023-3059.
