Bodies of missing mother, 3-year-old son found in Texas park, murder-suicide suspected

A frantic search ended in heartbreak after a mother and son disappeared Monday afternoon on their way to a doctor's appointment.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said Savannah Kriger, 32, left work early to pick up her son, Kaiden Kriger, 3, from daycare off Lone Star Parkway near Alamo Ranch Parkway on the Far West Side. on their way to a doctor's appointment.

The saga began around 6 p.m. local time when deputies were called to a home for a welfare check after some concerns were raised about Kriger by friends and family, namely that her phone was going straight to voicemail and a family member -- or friend -- could not see her location services on their phone.
