Limpopo police are investigating two separate cases in the province. In one case, a man's mutilated body was found near Mamaila village, with authorities not ruling out ritual killing. In another case, the decomposed bodies of a man and a woman were found in a house in the Waterburg district, leading police to suspect a murder-suicide, possibly stemming from a domestic dispute.
The provincial police are also investigating a suspected murder-suicide after two decomposed bodies were discovered.
“The emergency personnel were summoned to the scene and certified him dead,” Limpopo police spokesperson Stephen Thakeng said in a“Although the motive behind the murder is still unknown, ritual-related killing cannot be ruled out at this stage,” she said. Ledwaba indicated that information suggests the deceased were in a romantic relationship and living together.“The woman was — according to information found — lying in the bed and the man hanging on the roof of the house and their bodies already in an advanced state of decomposition,” the police officer said.
