The 44-year-old driver of the car was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and was subsequently arrested for dangerous driving causing death.
A 64-year-old man was killed in an accident involving a car and a pedestrian near Tan Kah Kee MRT station in Dunearn Road on Sunday.
Two children who were riding in the car, a four-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl, were taken to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. A police tent could be seen on the grass patch next to lane one, with a silver BMW 3 Series car several metres in front of it. The car’s rear windscreen was broken and debris lined the side of the road.
“The front windscreen on the driver’s side of the car was broken,” he said. “I was shocked. I feel sad for the victim.”
