The problem is affecting Queens Square and the main bus stop to Strathbungo at the corner of Pollokshaws Road and Nithsdale Drive, a meeting heard.Speaking at this week's Pollokshields Area Partnership meeting, member Kevin Kane, said: “We have some concerns about the quality of repair work to drains in Queens Square.
“I also reported a blocked drain at the main bus stop to Strathbungo at the corner of Pollokshaws Road and Nithsdale Drive on October 4, and I don’t believe anything has happened with that.”He told the meeting “you would think someone would be able to sort it but that hasn’t happened” and pointed out that bus passengers have to dodge water.officer confirmed that the local authority was looking into the drainage situation and would chase a response for the next area partnership meeting.
“I have spoken to the roads department recently and asked them to carry out a survey to see what they can do. There are similar issues on Maxwell Road and households are finding water coming back into their gardens.
