BlackRock's Rick Rieder said the fixed income market should be less volatile in 2023 and investors should have a chance to recover a good bit of this year's losses. "I think you've got three to five more months of data and policy uncertainty from here, after which, the Fed is going to pause," said Rieder, chief investment officer of global fixed income, referring to the Fed's tighter monetary policy.
"Markets like to be risk on, risk off. I would argue this is pause at restrictive," he said. As a result, investors in fixed income can build portfolios with high quality assets, without taking too much interest rate risk or illiquidity risk. "I've been doing this for a really long time.
