BLACKPINK's 'BORNPINK' Becomes 1st Album By Female K-Pop Act To Spend 2 Weeks In Top 4 Of Billboard 200
” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s famous Top 200 Albums chart , making them the first female K-pop artist ever to top the chart.
On October 2 local time, Billboard announced that “BORN PINK” had remained on the chart at No. 4 for the week ending on October 8—making it the first album by any female K-pop artist in history to spend two weeks in the top five of the Billboard 200. With this achievement, BLACKPINK has also become the first female K-pop artist in history to have two albums spend multiple weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200.
According to Luminate , “BORN PINK” earned a total of 40,000 equivalent album units in its second week on the chart.
