The Black Keys will be releasing a recording of its March 31, 2002 concert at Cleveland's Beachland Tavern on Nov. 18 CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Black Keys were a largely unknown quantity when the Akron duo played its first concert -- March 31, 2002, at Cleveland’s Beachland Tavern -- previewing the release of its debut album, “The Big Come Up,” in May of that year.

The limited edition sold out via pre-sale within hours of its announcement on Monday, Nov. 7, with copies shipping on the release date. It will not be available in stores at any point. The show was one of several Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney played at the Beachland during 2002. The two had been instilled with a love of music by their respective families by the time they met in school -- Auerbach from an uncle who played and by his father’s “great record collection” and Carney partly via his uncle, saxophonist Ralph Carney.
