A bear has been sighted in various Montgomery County locations and, according to officials, the bear was most recently seen in Whitpain Township Wednesday.
Whitpain Township police report a confirmed bear sighting by the Pennsylvania Game Commission in Worcester Township and East Norriton Township. From there, the bear made its way to the area of Hoover Road and Perri Place, in Whitpain Township, and was seen there Wednesday night.
Thursday afternoon, police in Plymouth Meeting alerted the public to be aware a black bear was spotted in the area of Hickory Road, Walton Road, Township Line Road and Narcissa Road. They said police and the Pennsylvania Game Commission was on location and to use caution. None of the authorities are saying if the bear seen in Plymouth Meeting is the same as the bear in Blue Bell.say it’s typical for bears to move about in the autumn prior to hibernation.
Officials say if the bear is spotted to call 911 and report the sighting to authorities. At no point should anyone attempt to approach a bear.that I have read and agree
