Bivalent booster appointments can now be booked in Ontario for kids ages 5 and up

Ontarians five years of age and older can now book appointments to get the bivalent COVID-19 shot.

, which is an updated version of the Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine, for those 5 years of age and older.

Most Ontarians under the age of 65 are advised to receive their booster dose at the recommended six-month interval, however people can choose to book their next appointment three months after their last shot. “COVID-19 vaccines continue to protect Ontarians from COVID-19 and its variants,” Dr. Kieran Moore, Chief Medical Officer of Health, said in a statement issued by the province Thursday.
