The Birmingham boys and girls wrestling teams won City titles Tuesday night.
Elliot won his bout at 160 pounds by pin with 27 seconds left in the first period after racing to an 11-4 advantage. He scored on a takedown almost immediately after the starting whistle.
“I came here wanting to win it,” Elliot said. “Pushing everyone on my team to do their best. Arvin is another reason I came here; he’s a stud.”
