The Buffalo Bills injury list continues to expand every week. This time, head coach Sean McDermott announced on Monday that Dawson Knox will undergo surgery on his injured wrist.
McDermott couldn't say when the team's starting tight end would return as the decision to have the surgery was made before he revealed the news.
Knox suffered the injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars when the teams played in London two weeks ago. He recorded only one catch for 10 yards in the Bills' Week 7 loss to the New England Patriots. Through seven games, Knox has 15 receptions for 102 yards and one touchdown. It's a safe assumption that Knox won't suit up for Buffalo's Thursday night game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the team will lean on Dalton Kincaid for the foreseeable future.
After returning from a concussion, Kincaid finished as the Bills top receiver against the Patriots. He recorded eight catches for 75 yards.
