In 2008, Microsoft executives told then-board chairman Bill Gates that his 'flirtatious' and 'inappropriate' emails to a female employee have to stop, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Microsoft spokesman Frank Shaw told thethe 2007 emails were “flirtatious” and “deemed to be inappropriate,” but not “overtly sexual,” and that the female employee did not make a complaint about the incident.saying the claims are “false, recycled rumors from sources who have no direct knowledge” and accused some sources of having “significant conflicts of interest.
”This is the latest accusation of Gates’ inappropriate behavior toward female employees. In 2019, Microsoft’s board reportedly hired a law firm toGates’ alleged sexual relationship with a female Microsoft engineer following a letter she wrote about the affair that allegedly happened around 2002. Gates resigned from the company board in 2020 after the probe found his alleged romantic relationship to be inappropriate.
