The Dismantle DEI ACT not only would wind down existing programs offered by the federal government, but also would forbid government contractors from using government money to pay for DEI programs. It would require organizations that receive federal grants to promise in writing that no portion of that funding will pay to maintain a DEI office or program. In addition, federal higher education funding could not be used to pay for DEI programs.
