THUNDER BAY — The City of Thunder Bay is reminding local cyclists and motorists that the city’s bike lane network will be “closed” as of Tuesday.
In some locations, rules against on-street parking in bike lanes are also lifted during the winter season. The city directs drivers to check parking signs to confirm if bike lane parking is permitted. “All riders choosing to use bike lanes and roadways during the winter are advised to exercise caution, and all road users are reminded to share the road, be aware of other vehicles and be courteous,” he said in a statement.
