Starlink has more than doubled prices for roaming users with service addresses in multiple African countries, including locations often used by South African customers.
Starlink is hiking the prices of its global and regional roaming subscriptions in several countries, including many of the African countries where South African roaming users have registered their service.
Users with service addresses registered in the UK have also been notified that their global roaming subscription will increase from £200 to £380 per month. According to the Starlink Roam website, only two of the seven African countries officially supporting Starlink have not seen price changes. The hikes also came shortly after Starlink warned users in countries where its service has not officially launched that they would be disconnected from May 2024.
