South African motorists will be paying more for petrol and diesel on Wednesday (2 November) after the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy announced price hikes on Friday.

For truckers, rising prices deepen the general cost of living crisis in the country, forcing many to shut their doors. This extends to other transporters as well, with public transport also heavily impacted by the increases.
