And while some may think of this as a jarring juxtaposition, as Freedia explains, it's an important visual touch that emphasizes the song's very personal message of overcoming adversity with love and positivity."It's about how love will always conquer fear and hate," she said."I've always been about celebrating who you are— no matter what anyone tries to tell you—and this song is meant to inspire people to chase their dreams, no matter what obstacles they face.
