The Buccaneers have been in the North West where they played against visiting Eswatini giants Mbabane Highlanders at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday.Bucs’ new signing Bienvenu Eva Nga scored three goals as newly-appointed coach José Riveiro led the team to a 6-0 victory, with the CAF Confederation Cup finalists appearing to be ready for the new season start next week. Thembinkosi Lorch, Innocent Maela and Vincent Pule netted the other goals for the Buccaneers.
Pirates are scheduled to get their 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign underway with a fixture against Swallows FC on August 6, with Stellenbosch FC and Chippa United set to be their next opponents on August 10 and 14 respectively in their opening three matches.
