Everything they counted on upset," Biden told Boak."But most of it's a consequence of what's happening, what happened is a consequence of the Covid crisis."in 2021 on the youth mental health crisis, which was furthered by exposure to the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Mental health challenges in children, adolescents, and young adults are real and widespread," Murthy said in the advisory."Even before the pandemic, an alarming number of young people struggled with feelings of helplessness, depression, and thoughts of suicide — and rates have increased over the past decade."
Biden said he agreed with Murthy and there is"overwhelming evidence" showing the"profound impact" the virus has had"across the board." Dismissing claims that the Covid-19 relief package started America's inflation problems, Biden said there is"zero evidence" of that.
