Sanders cancels Cleveland rally scheduled for Tuesday over coronavirus concerns
Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden have canceled rallies scheduled for Tuesday night in Cleveland. Sanders' campaign said in a statement that it's heeding public warnings from Ohio officials who have expressed concern about holding large, indoor events during the coronavirus outbreak.
The campaign said future events will be evaluated case by case. Biden's campaign said it will"continue to consult with public health officials and public health guidance and make announcements about future events in the coming days." Ohio's Democratic primary is next Tuesday. Sanders is competing against Biden in six contests today.
