After Biden, 80, tripped over a sandbag and fell on stage at an Air Force Academy graduation last month, he has seldom used the longer staircase to board the presidential plane and has instead opted to take the shorter set of stairs 84% of the time, according to an NBC analysis. The measure is part of a concerted effort by Biden’s aides to make sure that a fall like the one that happened at the Air Force graduation ceremony “never happens again,” two sources familiar with the plans told NBC News.
