Bicyclist sustains head injuries in Balboa Park hit and run [Breaking]
A 54-year-old bicyclist sustained head injuries in a hit-and-run crash in Balboa Park late Sunday, San Diego police said.
The rider was on Florida Drive not far from Pershing Drive when he was struck just after 10:15 p.m., Officer John Buttle said. He was outside the designated bike lane when he was struck by a black sedan, Buttle said. The sedan driver did not stop, he said. The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with a skull fracture and a brain bleed, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening, Buttle said.
