The new web-based hit game Wordle has become viral enough for clone apps to start showing up on Android and iOS app stores. Be careful not to get fooled by them!
The new craze of a game that has overtaken social media is a word-guessing game called Wordle. However, Wordle is not an app that you can download from the App Store or Play Store. You can only play it via a browser, as it is a web application.
History has given us plenty of examples of similar instances. Whenever there is a new hit app that takes the internet by storm, clones always pop up to try and take some of that success for their own. It is all fun and games, but some of these clones are straight-up scams that will fool you into paid subscriptions or one-time payments and never return them to you., and they were in the App Store, where there was an app with said paid subscriptions.
