Betty White's idyllic beachfront California estate of over 40 years FINDS BUYER
The comedy legend and her husband Allen Ludden had originally built the three-story beach-front home in Carmel Valley, California together, in the early eighties. Unfortunately Ludden died shortly after the property - which is built in a village north of Los Angeles and south of San Francisco - was completed in 1981. The 3,600-square-foot-property boasts four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms and was set at the asking price of $7.95million.
Now a report in TMZ says that an offer has been made and accepted, although the sale has not yet been finalized. The power couple had only paid $170K originally for the then-empty quarter-acre plot. The town of Carmel, which is also known as Carmel-by-the-sea, is situated near other celeb-favorite enclaves like Monterey and Big Sur. White died as a result of a stroke she suffered on Christmas Day, according to her death certificate.
