The matter will be before the court on the same day that Multichoice plans to roll out the four-part series.
JOHANNESBURG - The Johannesburg High Court is set to hear last minute applications by convicted murderer Thabo Bester and his alleged prison break accomplice Nandipha Magudumana.
Bester and Magudumana have each approached the high court, trying to stop the airing, citing it threatens their rights. Streaming service Showmax has briefed legal counsel and will be vigorously opposing the applications. It added that the allegations against Bester and Magudumana are serious and it believes that it is essential for viewers to have the opportunity to watch the documentary.
The two were arrested in Tanzania last year following Bester's escape from the Mangaung Correctional Centre.
