Best things we ate this week: Fried chicken, a cocktail beer, and a vegan chili oilI can’t recall a better seafood taco than the octopus version at Revolver Taco Lounge Gastro Cantina, a new Deep Ellum restaurant and bar from chef Gino Rojas. It starts with an exquisite corn tortilla, which is made to order and plucked fresh from the griddle with a soft, pillowy texture.
But as I savored the meld of flavors and textures in each bite, I knew better: this was taco nirvana. —The pulpo taco from Revolver Taco Lounge Gastro Cantina in is made with Mediterranean octopus from Spain s Catalan coast that is braised in a seasoned broth, then finished in a skillet with a mild chile-garlic butter.To escape the midday Monday blues, I ventured over to The Honor Bar in Highland Park Village for some me-time, which of course involves good food and a cocktail.
