Merseyside has a rich range of independent coffee shops and cafes
We recently polled our readers in light of International Coffee Day earlier this month, asking where is the best place to get a cup of coffee in Merseyside. Hundreds entered the poll and the results were varied, which was expected given the range of brilliant and unique cafes and coffee shops in each of the area's individual boroughs.
Bold Street Coffee, Liverpool Coming in at number five, Bold Street Coffee is loved by most who visit, including Liverpool icon Jodie Comer who said it was the "best coffee in town in my humble opinion" during an interview with Vogue. It's easy to understand why the venue is so popular, according to ECHO reporter Jamie Greer who visited earlier this year, who praised the "impressive" menu, efficient service and relaxing atmosphere.
Blooming Skull Coffee, New Ferry In fourth place is Blooming Skull Coffee an independent and vegetarian coffee shop tucked away on Bebington Road in New Ferry. Blooming Skull has been serving those coffee lovers across the water for around seven years now, providing them with much-needed coffee and much-wanted homemade cakes and bakes from the leafy interior of the shop.
