BERKELEY — Berkeley police said Saturday they were investigating a shooting that left a man seriously wounded.
The shooting, which occurred on Seventh Street between Addison Street and Allston Way in Berkeley, was reported to Berkeley police at 7:09 p.m. Friday night. “We received several calls about the sound of a gunshot and a man lying in the street,” Berkeley Police Lt. Chris Bonaventure said Saturday. Police officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Seventh Street. The officers found a man lying in the street.The gunshot victim was transported to an East Bay hospital.The block where the shooting occurred contains single-family residences and at least one apartment complex.
