Man United midfield enforcer Casemiro has experienced an underwhelming start to the 2023/24 campaign.
Former striker Dimitar Berbatov is backing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro to rediscover his form following an underwhelming start to the season.
The 31-year-old, however, has not been at the races so far this term, despite the fact he is the club's leading goalscorer with four goals to his name so far. He has not controlled games in the same way he did last season, prompting concerns about whether he has still got the ability to do the job United need him to do.READ MORE: Why the Glazers are not taking United dividends
As a result of Casemiro's underwhelming start to the season, a report in Spain recently claimed he has started to 'regret' joining United amid suggestions the club is already hunting for his long-term successor. However, Berbatov hopes there is no substance to the reports, backing the Brazil international to get back to his best.
"He has shown at Real Madrid how highly rated he is, how he can play top, top football - he showed that at United in his first season. He's set high standards for himself, so it's up to him to continue to prove to everyone that he's the player that people know he is.
