Benson Ngqentsu | Judiciary is not above critique, so liberals can go and hang themselves
The wanton damage to the Chris Hani’s Memorial just a few days after the Constitutional Court judgment clearly demonstrates that fragility and underscores my argument, while the stabbing of Walus in prison this week suggests that this unwise judgment may be reawakening passions. There is no doubt in my mind that the working class is gravely concerned about the insensitive nature of the judgment towards the Hani family and the liberation movement.
In this article, I further advance an argument that there seems to be an intersection between the brazen posture of the right-wing forces in this country and the Raymond Zondo Constitutional Court judgment. Further, liberals across political formations have argued that exercising the right to protest and display public dissent against this court decision is beyond the pale and anti-democratic.
