Yesterday, Premier Soccer League chairman Dr Irvin Khoza announced Black Label as the new sponsor of the league cup previously known as the Telkom Knockout.
"I think we have to start by thanking the old man, despite all the criticism he's been subjected to over the years, he kept the PSL afloat," Mhlongo tells KickOff.com."Remember Telkom Knockout started as Telkom Charity Cup before sponsoring the league cup."Maybe sponsors are sceptical to sponsor the league right away because they don't know what they might benefit ."DStv started as a broadcaster and now they are sponsoring the league.
"For him to share their sponsorship with the league... it's time we give him the respect he deserves.
