Fondly known as 'Mr Finnieston', the owner of one of the longest-running family businesses in Glasgow has died
Gurdev Singh, also known as 'GG', was surrounded by his beloved family when he died on February 27th following a short-term illness.
Gurdev was the owner of the infamous liquor store, GG Brothers, located on Argyle Street in Finnieston, which he opened in 1984 after his move to Glasgow. His family have paid tribute as he is described as "a loving and caring husband, son, father, brother and grandfather. GG enjoyed spending time with his family and making everyone laugh."Tributes have poured in for the man known to many as 'Mr Finnieston'. One person said: GG uncle was a memorable part of my childhood growing up on Argyle street, I was and still am deeply saddened for the families huge loss to a man who i always remember smiling.
