Police are seeking the assistance of anyone who knows where the suspect may be hiding.

Shilo A. Englert has been identified as a suspect in the murder of a 31-year-old woman in Bellingham.BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham police are searching for a man who they believe shot and killed a 31-year-old woman on Tuesday.

Officers were called to the 1000 block of North State Street at about 9:30 p.m. for a welfare check. When they arrived, they found a deceased woman in a stairwell with a gunshot wound. BPD crime scene investigators and detectives and the Whatcom County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene to investigate. They determined that the woman died as a result of the gunshot wound.
