On Monday, at the beginning of the second half of the ballot battle with Rachel Notley’s NDP, Smith is back where she wants to be. The UCP leader is on an issue her party believes is a winner with voters and a loser for her rivals in orange.And Smith makes a big move. We knew it was coming and here it is.
In the fall, if Smith and the UCP are back in the saddle, they will bring in something they call a compassionate intervention law.Smith says the new law will pass the smell test when it comes to the courts judging what can and can’t be done and whether rights are being respected.
