It is the second reported incident involving a taxi driver in Belfast this week
Two men have been arrested after a Belfast taxi driver was reportedly threatened and robbed on Sunday.
Police say they arrested two men aged 29 and 30 years of age, on suspicion of a number of offences after the taxi driver picked the men up from an address in the Ligoneil Road area shortly after 00.15. It's alleged that the men attempted to pay the fare using debit cards, which declined and that when the taxi driver asked them to pay the fare in cash, they threatened the driver, stole his mobile phone and made off from on foot.
