Always a great spot to enjoy a wee picnic or walk
A South Belfast park has made it to the top ten in a list of the best spots in the UK to enjoy a picnic.
The data looked at over 4,000 public parks listed in the top 100 UK cities and used the quality and breadth of facilities, including public toilets and shops, nearby to determine the top 20.This revealed the best public parks that the public can visit to enjoy a long day in the sunshine without worrying about having to leave early due to the lack of toilet facilities or because they’ve run out of drinks and snacks.
Ormeau Park in Belfast is the oldest park and one of the largest parks in the city having opened to the public in 1871 and a popular spot for locals and tourists.
