PSNI have slammed it as 'death driving'
Police say they received a report of a stolen car being driven recklessly just after 11pm on January 1, in the Albert Street area of the Lower Falls. After a pursuit, the vehicle crashed into the fence of a residential property and the driver of the vehicle made off from the scene.Sergeant Irwin said: "The community across West Belfast have experienced the anxiety, disruption and harm caused by death driving, and they are quite rightly fed up with it. The people of the area deserve better.
"Those who chose to act irresponsibly are only hurting their own communities, neighbours and friends. We would ask anyone who has any information on Sunday night’s criminal activity to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1983 of 01/01/23. "Anyone who wishes to pass on information anonymously, on any aspect of anti-social behaviour or crime in the area, can do so via the independent charity Crimestoppers. Crimestoppers will never ask for or store any of your personal details. Contact them on 0800 555 111 or online at http://crimestoppers-uk.org/."For all the latest news, visit the Belfast Live homepage here. To sign up to our FREE newsletters, see here.
