A look at the morning’s market action
Wall Street futures were positive Friday but indexes still looked set for a negative week as market jitters persist ahead of the coming rate decision by the Federal Reserve. Major European markets were steady. TSX futures were modestly higher.
On Friday, Wall Street will get a reading on U.S. wholesale inflation, which is expected to pull back to an annual rate of 7.2 per cent in November, from 8 per cent a month earlier, Mr. Hewson said. On the corporate side, U.S.-listed shares of B.C.-based Lululemon Athletica were down more than 7 per cent in premarket trading after the retailer forecast revenue and profit
Both benchmarks were on track for weekly declines of about 10 per cent. That would be the worst weekly showing for WTI since spring. In other commodities, gold prices were up ahead of fresh U.S. inflation figures and the Fed decision next week.
