When they found their Garden Oaks home in the fall of 2020, the location was perfect, but its interiors were cringe-worthy — 12-inch ceramic tile with pink borders, for example. . The key to making the main living area what they wanted was removing a wall between the living room and dining room and removing a pony wall that formed a peninsula in the kitchen.
