Ronaldo, meanwhile, reportedly wants to leave United for a team competing for trophies and playing in the UEFA Champions League. The Bavarians were one of the sides linked with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, but Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic says they are not interested. “I have a lot of respect for Cristiano Ronaldo, his successes and his career," Salihamidzic told Sport1.While there are no plans to sign Ronaldo, Bayern CEO Oliver Khan has confirmed they trying to sign Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt."We'll have more talks and then we'll see how things go.
