Around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, waves about 6.5 feet tall were observed near the San Francisco coastline, weather experts told SFGATE.
“The tides were higher, a little higher than the prediction,” said NWS meteorologist Dalton Behringer. This weekend, the king tides are expected to peak in the mornings and hit low tide in the late afternoon to early evenings, a recent Bay Area weather advisory showed.
