Manning-Alarcon went 4 for for with a double and home run in a win against Leland.

Leigh softball player Camryn Manning-Alarcon is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Mar. 13-18 after she received 41.14% of the vote at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.

Menlo School lacrosse player Elia Choe placed second with 27.53% of the vote and San Leandro softball player Jade Orta finished third. Manning-Alarcon, a freshman, had herself a day at the plate against Leland, going 4 for 4 with five RBIs, a double and a home run in a wild 11-10 victory that required extra innings. Manning-Alarcon finished the week batting .500 with four doubles on the season.
