Mountain View’s goalkeeper kept three clean sheets for the CCS Open Division champions during the team’s playoff run

Mountain View soccer player Parker Lunn is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Feb. 20-25 after he received 42.45% of the votes when the polls closed at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Dougherty Valley basketball player Aadi Malali finished second and Bellarmine basketball player Brayden Harris was third.Lunn, a sophomore, was spectacular in goal for the Spartans, finishing with three clean sheets as the seventh-seeded team captured the CCS Open Division championship. In the quarterfinals against No. 2 seed St. Francis, Lunn made three clutch saves in a penalty-kick shootout that determined the outcome.
