Battlefield 2042 is finally coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play!

A specific date hasn't been mentioned for when Battlefield 2042 will join Game Pass Ultimate, but it's expected that Season 3 will begin later this month, so we should see it drop into both subscription services fairly soon.
Season 3 will also overhaul Battlefield 2042's specialists. According to DICE, an update during the later half of Season 3 in 2023 will reintroduce classes to the first-person shooter and give specialists"defined roles that see them gain access to a specialised set of gadgets and equipment that best suit their purpose on the Battlefield." Once the update drops, you can expect to play as Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon roles.
